Molli Chaoot
Short url:
The Molli is a legalised squatbar that exists since 1979 in De Pijp area of Amsterdam. It is a non-profit social centre that is run by a collective of volunteers. It's somewhere between a living room, neighbourhood pub and political-social centre. Acoustic bands come to play, vegan food is being cooked, info and film evenings organised, open decks parties, darts, chess, draughts and warewolf tournaments, workshops, benifits ...and there is much more possible.
Neighbourhood meeting space and squat cafe for a drink, or a political discussion, or just for the gezelligheid.
Every Tuesday and Wednesday - vegan food between 7pm and 9pm, no reservation needed - just come walk in on time.
On Thursdays we have a bar night with open decks, so everybody is welcome to bring their own (vinyl!) records for a spin.
On Sundays we invite all synth freaks to bring their favourite gear for some electronic music jamming, and everyone else for a drink and a good chat.
There is also KraakSpreekUur on Mondays from 7pm to answer all your questions about squating.
If you have new ideas, would like to join the bar collective, seek a place to organise an event on Friday or Saturday, have questions or complaints, you're welcome to come along during a bar collective meeting - every first Sunday of the month at 8 pm.
