The most densely populated neighbourhood in Barcelona only has one green space. A modification of the General Metropolitan Plan of 1996 and the subsequent sale of some land to private capital in 2011, was the trigger for the neighborhood to organize. The symbol of the struggle is a popular vegetable garden on the estate where there is one of the first air-raid shelters of the Spanish Civil War paid for with public money.
