The Users' Association of the Marseille PADA (Welcome Platform for Asylum Seekers) was created in February 2020 by asylum seekers living at the Marseille PADA to promote mutual aid. It has more than 500 members of 28 different nationalities. It is involved in 3 main themes and activities: legal advice, access to accommodation and the "red market", which consists of the distribution of food parcels, hygiene products, milk and diapers for infants.
The AUP proposes a legal advice event for the PADA users every Wednesday at the Mille Bâbords office at 61 rue Consolat in Marseille. These legal advice events offer asylum seekers assistance in writing their life stories, social support and guidance, and preparation for the OFPRA and CNDA interviews.
