Parknest
Short url:
A small shed in a park that used to be a pancake restaurant but now (2023) closed for a few years has been squated by people of the neighborhood:
No public restrooms, a safe area for moms and their toddlers and an extreme dirty looking building was the fate for many visitors of the Flevopark for over two years after the private owner shut the place down because of enourmous fines he got from the governement.
Why?
He was open during Covid lock down and sold his beers, but got seriously fined for that. He de cided to do something else , leaving the building to rot and make him more rich in the same time.
Now, the people of the Indische buurt has squated the building and operate it six days a week serving cofee, tea, soup and a tosti (donation based)
A group of motivated volanteers is running it and organising events, no alcohol policy, and open between 12:00 and 18:00 (sometimes 20:00)
