As part of the 3rd Anarchist Film Festival, Valparaíso - alimapu, we present to you: “Ciclos de cine por los cerros”.

In addition to the opening and commemoration on Sunday January 5 in Espacio Katarcis, we share with you these dates through the hills in different spaces, where we will show some of the material we have received.

And to finish with this 3rd version of the festival, a great closing on Saturday 18 in Espacio Katarcis, which will feature a more extended billboard, fair and music.

We invite you all to be part of these dates. Remember that everything is self-managed work, positioned from the trench of resistance and for our imprisoned comrades.

Next January 3, 2025 will be the 17th anniversary of the fall of Matias Catrileo Quezada. Weichafe of the Mapuche people and activist of the Coordinardora Arauco Malleco, killed by the GOPE of Carabineros de Chile, on January 3, 2008, in the context of a territorial recovery of Santa Margarita in the town of Vilcún, Wallmapu.

As part of this new commemoration, we invite you to the screening of the film "Algún día las raíces" inspired by the life and last days of Matías Catrileo Quezada, to be held on Sunday, January 5th at 17:00hrs in Espacio Katarcis.

With this commemorative activity as the first date we start the 3rd anarchist film festival of Valparaiso. On this occasion, as in previous versions, our main objective is to strengthen and weave our networks of resistance, also to generate solidarity with our comrades in prison.

We are convinced that our best tribute is to continue the struggle for autonomy and self-defense. The struggle for the defense of the itrofil mongen (all forms of life) in the face of capitalist destruction in the different territories, is urgent, and to take the example, vindicate the memory and actions of our comrades who gave their lives, too! With Matías Catrileo in the combative memory of our people, we continue to advance towards liberation!

We would like to invite you all to the closing of the 3rd Anarchist Film Festival, Valparaiso, to be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Espacio Katarcis.

As every year, we will have vegan food for sale, we will be accompanied by friends with their music and dance, there will be a graphic fair and of course, great audiovisual works that we will announce later.
