WATER DAMAGE (Austin / USA)

Do you like volume, drone, repetition? Do you like feeling completely tranced out in a psychedelic, dissociated way? Does the idea of being suspended in a state of transcendental heavy post rock seem appealing? If yes, I have just the thing for you!

WATER DAMAGE is an Austin based band / collective of people wholly committed to forcing the listener into a state of disorientation. Has the same bar been repeated for the last thirty minutes? Will my hearing be intact when this is over? The answer, honestly, is irrelevant. Whats important is this will probably be the best set of music you see this year. It is intense and all encompassing and completely unavoidable. You can try and ignore it, but eventually its enormous force will swallow you. Imagine being crushed by a glacier. Thats kind of what it felt like watching them destroy the room. As they say, “MAXIMAL REPETITION, MINIMAL DEVIATION”.

PARTY DOZEN (Sydney / Australia)

Party Dozen are Kirsty Tickle (saxophone) and Jonathan Boulet (percussion and sampler), a semi-improvised psych noise band from Sydney, Australia. Formed in 2017, the duo released two albums on their own GRUPO record label before signing an international deal with TEMPORARY RESIDENCE LIMITED (Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky, MONO, <BEAK). 2022 album The Real Work included the single “Macca The Mutt”, featuring vocals from Nick Cave and was Album of the Day on Bandcamp, Stereogum and Brooklyn Vegan. They've toured and played with Spiritualized, Viagra Boys and Tropical Fuck Storm, and in November will tour across Europe with Amyl & The Sniffers.
