In this building, which has 108 empty apartments, 36 apartments were opened by the GA to fight against all evictions. These apartments are part of the 8500 empty houses and buildings in the agglomeration of Caen, while hundreds of people survive in the streets. The building on rue Cardinal Lavigerie belongs to a social landlord and is destined for demolition. This opening follows the eviction of the Folie-Couvrechef squat on July 11, 2019.
