The popular gym of the Edera squat, which used to train so many young people in the Lucento district, with its boxing, Thai boxing, acroyoga and dance courses, resumes training! A new squat has open in Vallette-Lucento, the Polisportiva Iris Versari! The structure, built more than 10 years ago and never completed, is located in Strada di Altessano at the corner of Via Sansovino.
On October 3, 2022 at 5.30 a.m., police, digos and carabinieri evicted the Edera Squat, self-managed building. On November 26, 2022, new occupation in Turin, a bank is occupied. That's two occupations in Turin within a week:
- The Iris Versari sports club, occupied by the friends of the Iris Versari gym who was at the Edera squat. These are plots of land that had already been symbolically occupied the week after the Edera eviction.
- The Circolo Occupato La Crepa occupied this morning and which will be a space to meet and carry on the struggles in the neighborhood and in the city (it is a former branch bank of Intesa San Paolo)
