Home movies are short amateur films made to preserve special moments and to be enjoyed in the privacy of the home. Only rarely do these momentary recordings have a narrative. Accidentally Cinematic brings this ‘accidentally cinematic’ form of the home movie out of its dusty box and on the silver screen.
The selected home movies were shot by various people in the USA, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Russia between 1936 and 2020. To recreate the cozy feeling of the home movie screening rite we are going to serve a variety of hot drinks.
