💥NEXT CAFE: Queer Migrant Mutual Aid💥

Join us on SATURDAY 10th of August between 2pm and 8pm at Halkevi Kurdish Community Centre (33 Dalston Lane, E8 3DF).

Navigating the hostile environment for migrants can be an isolating and frustrating process, especially for those of us living at the intersections of marginalised and racialised positions. We have struggled to find spaces to talk about our unique experiences as queer migrants, to exchange information, and to support each other.

The individualised approach of legal and charitable support gatekeeps knowledge and encourages a culture of silence and stigma regarding immigration status. As a collective, we are building a space to cultivate trust and manage the anxiety and fear which stem from this.

We invite queer migrants, comrades and allies to this workshop where we will launch and co-design a space for us and by us. This workshop will incorporate art and collective discussion to envision a queer migrant-friendly and borderless future.

From 2pm onwards we’ll have:
