Comrades Kitchen
Short url:
This time the Makamik Comrades' Kitchen will be held at Ulrika, whose facilities we have been able to borrow from A-ryhmä, many thanks to them! The doors to the event will open later than usual at 18.00 and the space is substance-free until 21.00. Ulrika, located in Domus Gaudium, is an accessible space, you can enter by pressing the Ulrika buzzer at the front door.
The September Comrades' Kitchen offers a treat of seitan and pasta in tomato sauce.
At 20.00 we will watch the Sub Media documentary "Trouble #24 - Organize: for Autonomy & Mutual Aid". The documentary is about community, organising and fighting for a better future. Released in early 2020, it provides an interesting recent historical perspective on the global wave of uprisings that preceded the Covid crisis. Now that the crises of Covid and war have become the new normal and the anti-government movement is gathering momentum, it is also a good moment to remember the longer-term strategy: even if the government can be brought down now, anarchists will have plenty work to do at least as long as a new government rises here or anywhere to replace the one that has fallen. The documentary will be followed by a guided discussion on the subject. The documentary is subtitled in English.
Welcome to spend an autumn evening with us!
