Tinto Brass | 1969 | Italy | 77' | English subs
On a trip to London with her husband, Barbara spends a day alone sightseeing, witnessing British youth culture, and visiting Hyde Park. There she encounters an attractive African American man, sparking a journey of self discovery and carnal desire.
The film deals with social themes such as sexual freedom, racial tensions, and political radicalism from the perspective of an upper-class Italian woman. Sometimes referred to as the most banned director ever, Tinto Brass walks an unusual line between poppy art-film and softcore flick. The killer psychedelic soundtrack is provided by rock group of the era, Freedom.
