Max Middlewood
“I am a visual artist born 1998 in the East Midlands and based in Bristol for the past six years. I started creating art to help me deal with physical and mental illness. My work ranges from symbols/diagrams to surreal creatures, portraits and more chaotic mashups of different images, text and logos. I often aim to cover thought provoking themes and also infuse elements of humor and irony at the same time. A lot of my pieces are like continual diary entries and mini streams of consciousness. I have recently moved into more of an abstract style of painting, whilst still retaining my signature elements and symbols within my works.”

MERNY
Merny makes paintings and murals inspired by human interactions, online memes, diagrams and safety posters. He predominantly works in pencil and watercolours in his studio and uses spray paint and rollers when working on the street. Alongside his painting practice, he produces small runs of esoteric garments and bags.
The varied output of Merny’s saturated and hilarious watercolours have been described as unique, vibrant and evocative. Tainted with dark humour and often laden with sarcasm, his work is relatable to all kinds of people, and he is unafraid to confront uncomfortable truths about our times both on the street and in his studio.

He paints as part of the ASK graffiti crew, screen prints as part of the Jacknife gig poster collective, and works as a tattooist at Welcome Studios Bristol.

SLEVEN
Sleven is a sentient being, made from paint and light, from the seventh dimension. The seven handed psychonaught is known for painting hip-hop hieroglyphs in a plethora of vibrant cosmic colourways or manifested moments of madness in chromatic tones of bleak chaos, on whatever he can get his paint stained paws on.
