Join Autonomous Tech Fetish & Radical Education Forum for a collaborative investigation into dataveillance and monitoring practice in schools this Saturday the 11th June 1-4pm @ Commonhouse. This is the first in a series of workshops looking into the implications of data monitoring practices for pedagogy, and the increasing presence and automation of surveillance in schools. This includes software enabled surveillance, such as anti-radicalisation software, classroom management and behaviour management software. The workshop will begin to map new forms of data-capture, unpack their implications and develop strategies/counter-strategies we can take towards data driven education. Kids are welcome! We try to make our activities accessible to all ages and abilities as far as we can, and are happy to provide alternative things to do if appropriate. Common House is wheelchair accessible but unfortunately the toilet isn’t yet.
