This movie follows three friends through their day in a suburb near Paris. The film draws inspiration from the real-life Makomé M'Bowolé incident, which occurred in 1993 when a police officer fatally shot Makomé M'Bowolé at point-blank range. This sparked three days of riotting with looting and clashes between gangs and police forces in the heart of Paris. The police officer claimed to have fired by accident, while trying to intimidate the suspect into a confession, thinking his gun was unloaded.
