Without labouring the point, everything's getting worse and everyone can see it. The mainstream of both the labour movement and the environmental movement remain stuck in appeals to the government or to anonymous 'public opinion'. What would it look like to get over this and actually take the reconstruction of society into our own hands? The Angry Workers of the World are proud to present a new film from our friends at labournet.tv, which not only asks what it would take for these movements to unify and overturn society, but what it could actually look like in practice. 'The Loud Spring' uses animation to imagine a possible social revolution in 2024. This is not meant to be a blue-print or a utopian fairytale, but a foundation upon which we can discuss the challenges of emancipation in the 21st century. Part of the Anarchist Bookfair in London.
