GET A TATU @ CATU

Hello people, on the 13th and 14th of December we are organizing a tattoo circus (and distro hub) fundraiser event at Catu (Catullusweg 11 ROTTERDAM). The purpose of this event is supporting two antispe goals that are relevant to us.

Our first goal is to raise funds for our squats dog friend who is in need of a surgery. Their story is rooted in speceist discrimination. They were abused, incarcerated and used as a breeding dog, exploited for their reproductive labor and hunting dog genetics as they are considered a “pedigree” dog. Now their circumstances and company are better but living through this trauma probably caused permanent damage to the quality of their life as they experience chronic psychosomatic/ hormonal pregnancies and are in need of an urgent minimally invasive sterilization procedure.

Our second goal is supporting two antispe comrades in the trial with a hunter in Evia, Greece.

In 2018 the case was started on charges of robbery and theft and included a restrictive condition to leave Greece which ensued until the closing of the case (01 december 2024) .The reasoning behind this being that the comrades stole a rifle from a hunter before throwing it in the woods, who promptly and cowardly got them arrested and later sued.

After 5 years of legal struggles the case's conclusion was all charges being dropped. The nature of this victory does not lie in any moral change of an otherwise oppressive speceist authoritative system, and although the results of this trial are uplifting for our cause, the costs of the trials, lawyer and otherwise mental and physical toll on these comrades was mostly their responsibility to deal with and we want to show support in the ways we can through this event.

Lastly, during the two days of this event we will have a permanent stand where you can write letters for a multitude of prisoners prosecuted or jailed for anarchist/ nihilist / revolutionary / antifa/ queer/ ecologic /anti-speciesist related actions. There will be a list to read from and information/ resources available.
