The purpose of Naast Monique is to host and set up projects run for and by womxn, trans, bi, fags, dykes, queers, sex-workers, etc—a focal point and a friendly meeting place for and by our communities. Currently run by an emerging and inclusive collective, A côté de chez Monique / Naast Monique aims to work in a horizontal and participative way. We hold dear the principles of inclusivity, warmth and openness for all of us : trans people, intersex people, sex workers, people of color, those in situations of financial precarity, and documented or undocumented migrants. Let’s build a new collective experience and strengthen our communities so they blossom.
This former textile factory was bought by the fire department to make a new fire station. While waiting for the works, the region trusts Ricochets ASBL to develop a project to defend LGBT rights. Discussion workshops and convivial moments are organized for this community and their friends.
