Schwein für Schwein (Porco para Porco) is a political art project with clay. We are collecting 50.000 pigs made of clay throughout Europe because of a tragedy that happened two years ago in Germany. An estimated 42.000 piglets and 8.000 pigs were burned alive in a fire in the biggest mass production site for meat in Europe in Alt-Telin, Mecklemburgo-Pomerania, Germany. The ones responsible closed all gates when the fire started and let all of the animals die.

In remembrance and in honor of the burned pigs, we are asking people to make one clay pig for this art project. Once we collected the 50.000 pigs, we want to display them in front of the German Bundestag and to place them in a memorial site, next to where they were killed.

Our intention is to raise awareness for this mass killing of animals and to protect the dignity of all living beings!
