‘School’ brings together six films that were made in and around the context of the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). Five fictional shorts, shot on 16mm, including EK, by Niklas Büscher, 513, by Tillmann Betz, 2:22:28, by Baonan Wang, 4PM by Ron Rothschild, and Marieke de Zwaan’s new film, paired with Alexander Göbel's Century Egg, a hybrid of fiction and documentary. In the works, both factual and absurd narratives unfold through an ever-changing palette of cinematic styles and approaches.

A Q&A with the filmmakers will follow the screening.

Filmhuis Cavia is a counterculture cinema, (legally) founded by a squatters movement in 1983, which programs films you aren't likely to see anywhere else.
