We abide by the rules as set by the RIVM and we will have only 15 guests per screening. You can drop by at Cavia an hour before each screening to make a reservation at the bar. While at our venue, be mindful to remain at 1.5 meter distance from other people. We trust all to be responsible with their health and hygiene check.

Can free jazz be transposed to film? The Schlippenbach Trio has existed for more than 40 years, and is part of European free jazz history. Each year in December they set off for their „Winterreise“ to play their „sound of divergence, catharsis & explosion". The film was shot over the period of four years between 2007 and 2010 at the Jazzclub Karlsruhe. Aber Das Wort Hund Bellt Ja Nicht is neither the recording of a concert nor the conventional portrait of a band. This is a film which encourages listening and seeing and reveals what film and music can do with one another. (Arsenal Berlin)
