After a challenging period for everyone, we are back and ready to resume our screenings at the cinema, with great films and some special double screenings on the same evening. We abide by the rules as set by the RIVM and we will have only 15 guests per screening.

You can make reservations through a form online for each screening and pick up and pay for your tickets at the bar. Please do not come without a reservation as to avoid crowds. This will ensure a safer environment for all. Links for reservations can be found on our website under each screening.

THE SWIMMER

Across the ocean back in ‘68, “The Swimmer”, Burt, falls like a beautiful angel from the high realms still full of dreams, (sexual) fantasies and one great idea. During his swim he is questioned by those who he's fallen from about this idiotic and poetic idea he has gotton into his head. But some aren’t so welcoming and usher him further down the stream to his ultimate liberation.

There is this surrealism in The Swimmer in which, for example, sexual fantasies materialize and break like crystals into a kaleidoscopal nostalgia for something that has been passed but yet forever present. You can feel that, and think: "What was that ‘that’ exactly?". An epic exit and freedom story.
