Imagine a bunch of Utrecht doomtown punks, bound together by their affection for Wipers, trying to show their love for postpunk. Too punk to sound like Joy Division, too wave to sound like all punkbands you know. With current and ex-members of Antillectual, Smash The Statues, Wanderlust, Gwladys Street and Dead Weights, Leavers plays post-punk with an edge. Melancholic sounds accompanied by themes about disappointments, despair and fading to grey. We are Leavers.
