Once a year monumental buildings are open to the public for special events in Amsterdam. This year I will present a program of underground short movies in the legendary nuclear war bunker in the Vondelpark.
  
The Vondelbunker is a nuclear war bunker created in 1947 in the event of a nuclear attack. Nestled in the Vondelpark, it's more alive than ever before with a rapid-fire program of concerts, poetry readings and film screenings. For this afternoon I will select experimental shorts and clips from underground movies made between 1950 and 1990. Although the programming will reflect all genders and sexes, there will be a special accent on the work of neglected female avant-garde filmmakers.
