2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of Rote Hilfe Deutschlands (RHD): the solidarity organization was officially founded on 1 October 1924. We, the Rote Hilfe Karlsruhe local group, are taking this as an opportunity for an anniversary celebration.

100 years of Rote Hilfe: This is an occasion for us to trace the complex history of Rote Hilfe(n), as well as to draw attention to the anti-repression work of Rote Hilfe e. V. and to see it in this tradition. In doing so, we do not want to conceal the realignments, mistakes and breaks, but rather point out the common thread that runs through these decades of work: cross-current solidarity. In this anniversary year, we also want to celebrate the active Red Helpers who organize the practical and financial support for left-wing activists affected by repression day in, day out, as well as our members, donors and friends who make this work possible in the first place.
