Nàresh Ran
Nàresh Ran, who also runs the label Dio Drone, is bringing his intense and tormenting ambient music to Amsterdam. While his previous works made extensive use of field recordings, his new album Praesens relies on a more intimate and darker formula of synths and vocals. His music deals with fragility and regret, with the memories that haunt us and keep us captive. But for Nàresh "Praesens is the way I found to deal with my demons and finally let them go"

Gabriele Gasparotti has just released Tropismi, a collection of compositions that make use of string instruments, synths and field recordings (to name but a few) to create highly dynamic and captivating harmonies. At the heart of this work is the idea that music interacts with the space around it, and is led by it into unexpected territories. So, like a living organism, music is driven by the very “engine of existence and of expansion of the Universe”.
