La Redada Miscelánea Cultural
Short url:
The genesis of La Redada dates back to the crisis in which four independent spaces in Bogotá (La Kcitta audiovisual, Casa Entrecomillas, El Eje Centro cultural and Casa Quince16) entered, which, after seeing the need to give up their spaces in 2010 due to lack of funds, decided to join forces and come together under the same roof. Being born from this articulation, La Redada linked the grassroots processes coming from each space, the linking of different collectives and the intention of organizing projects without intermediaries. In this way, La Redada works under two specific lines: one directly related to the headquarters of the project (the cultural miscellany), in which it seeks to generate spaces for circulation, training and cultural and artistic research; and another focused mainly on fieldwork with communities in different parts of the city and the country, in which La Redada works hand in hand with organizations, collectives or local groups for the two-way strengthening of the processes of self-organization from the methodologies of art, cultural research and direct action in the territory.
Currently, La Redada is postulated as a transfeminist space that welcomes different collectives, processes and independent projects conceived inside and outside the house that converge safely, connecting diverse existences, experiences or cultural and artistic expressions. Its commitment is to serve as a platform to link, strengthen, make visible and amplify the initiatives that germinate in the interstices of the cultural/artistic production system, opening its doors to independent managers/creators/artists who do not have the tools, means or channels to give power to their proposals. Thus, over the years we have given ourselves the task of weaving work networks based on horizontality, co-creation and collective and collaborative work, as we consider it necessary to produce exchanges in the knowledge that is built from the various places of action and enunciation that converge in the house. Thanks to this, we currently have the support and support of those who, by occupying the house, give meaning to its existence and make its resistance possible. La Redada is a space to make it real and to do it in a patch.
