Creative Jam x PRALER

Samedi, 2 Mars

Creative Jam x PRALER

Short url:

Please note: this event takes place outside in The Yard and Outdoor Gallery/Mural Wall on Jamaica St
Join us for an evening of music, art, education, spoken word and a jam to launch a new mural at the PRSC. Bring an instrument, a poem or a story and share your artwork and your voice.
At the start of 2024 we hosted a visit by reparations activists from Ghana to establish links between our communities, there was much learning, laughter and joy. We want to celebrate these connections and support a visit to Niger and Burkina Faso in March to continue developing these relationships. Our comrades in the Sahel are leading the way towards self-determination and Planet Repairs.
This year more than 4 billion people around the world will be eligible to vote. The world’s biggest election year in history. Our institutions are crumbling, our representatives are failing us. We need a decolonisation of politics more than ever. Let us build solidarity through art, through music, through joy.
Bring your community, creativity, banners, flags and stories of resistance.
3-5pm Collaborative painting
5-6pm Workshop and mural unveiling
6-7pm Theatre, poetry, spoken word.
7-9pm Open music jam
About PRALER: The Planet Repairs Action Learning Educational Revolution (PRALER) is a process for building relationships of solidarity between communities and social movements across the world so that together we can reimagine and rebuild our education systems from the local to the global level.
