We invite you to join us for our traditional Brazilian Festa Julina, celebrating St. John’s Day. 🎊

Amsterdam for Democracy in Brazil began as a response to the rise of the extreme right in Brazil. Since then, we have hosted an annual Festa Julina, creating a space for the Brazilian community to gather, enjoy music, dance, and savor traditional winter foods from Brazil. 🇧🇷🎶🍴

This year, our event is open to all with no entrance fee. However, we welcome donations. After covering some expenses, the funds will be allocated as follows:

 To support the MST (Landless Workers’ Movement), which fights for land reform and the rights to collective farming areas and has been affected by the recent river floods in June. 

This is why we’ve named our event “Tudo junto e solidário” - All Together in Solidarity. ❤️
