The 269 Libération Animale collective, born in 2015, advocates for a radical antispeciesism, centered on direct actions against structures of domination (mainly slaughterhouses) and an approach aiming at making the animal struggle a truly political and leftist fight.

The 269 Libération Animale collective was born out of the apparent failure of depoliticised vegan campaigning, centered on the search for "individual purity". It's, in our eyes, a dead end and reveals a failure at understanding what speciesism truly is.

During those last eight years, the complicities and solidarities we found all across Europe confirmed the importance of maintaining our strength against dominant entities. Because "we ain't trying to veganise the world, we're trying to make a new one"
