BEK is a collective and a community center based in Zagreb, Croatia emerged from the local Food not Bombs group, aiming to build a local platform accessible to everyone independent of their financial means. Anarchist ideas and values have been the core of our organisation and praxis since the beginning. All of our decisions are made together on weekly assemblies with an open agenda and equal participation. We are based in a former school which was abandoned three years ago. We are rebuilding and remaking this space to adapt it to the needs of the community, providing social, cultural and art activities – free of charge.
