A space for information, meeting, support, self-organization and creativity! The Upupa Infopoint – a migratory bird, bearer of wonderful meanings of rebirth and peace in many cultures – is a space of support, solidarity, connection and mutual aid for all the people of Ventimiglia and passing through. It was created with the aim of supporting and responding to the various needs of people in transit who arrive and cross the territory of Ventimiglia who do not find adequate accommodation in institutional structures, and at the same time to create a meeting space between people, community and individuals who share the geographies of the city on a daily basis. The project is self-financed by Progetto20k, with the support and commitment of other solidarity realities. Progetto20k is a horizontal and self-managed political collective, which since 2016 has been fighting against the system of racist, capitalist and patriarchal violence embodied by the border device in the territory of Ventimiglia.
