November 2021 - The Ovradera Social Centre, located at 3 Bishop Ambrose Street, is a new project that we hope will be a focus for the reorganization of social and class struggles, for the organization of mutual aid of the social base. The project will operate horizontally and non-democratically, as a desired model of the free and egalitarian society that we are called upon to create collectively from below.
The Social Centre Ovradera houses so far the Eleftheria Initiative of Thessaloniki, the Collective of Anarchists from the East, the Libertarian Publications Koursal and the news portal https://www.alerta.gr/
The creation and participation in the project of new social and cultural groups and the organization of corresponding activities and events are part of our goals. We wish this project to be embraced by the people of the neighbourhood, workers, unemployed, pupils and students, pensioners, locals and immigrants. The power of the oppressed lies in collective organization and solidarity!
