Presentation of the publication "Forced Motherhood: The modern restriction of abortion in the USA, the limits of pro-choice movements and the denials of reproductive work. This will be followed by a discussion with members of Fabrica Yfanet's abortion subgroup.

This publication discusses the historical context of abortion in the US, its legalization and the absence of a constitutional guarantee of abortion rights at the federal level, which contributed to its recent restriction. He refers to abortion as an issue of American parliamentary competition, and to the diverse movement against it. Finally, we analyze the multiple nature of the restriction of abortion, the role of the family under the transformations of neoliberalism, why there was no movement in the US and the use of abortion as a means of denying reproductive work.
