Von 13:00 Uhr bis 16:30 Uhr wollen wir auf dem Wasser und an Land für den schnellen Kohleausstieg in Brandenburg paddeln, radeln und laufen!

Die Wasser- und Landdemo starten um 13:00 Uhr an der Neustädter Havelbucht. Der konkrete Treffpunkt für die Wasserdemo ist südlich vom Café Seerose (Breite Str. 24) am Wasser und für die Landdemo am Pumpenhaus/"Moschee" (Breite Str. 28). Es wird dann eine gemeinsame Großaktion zum Start der Demo geben. Ab 15:30 Uhr wird die Abschlusskundgebung in der “Alten Fahrt” stattfinden. Hier könnt ihr sowohl auf dem Wasser als auch am Ufer dabei sein.

Melde dich möglichst bald an, wenn du mit Boot kommst oder auf ein Boot (Floß, Kajak, SUP) möchtest!-=-

Von Berlin aus startet um 9 Uhr eine Fahrraddemo am Kraftwerk Moabit (Föhrer Brücke), die um 12 Uhr eine Zwischenstation am S Wannsee (Gustav-Hartmann Platz) einlegt und dann spätestens um 13 Uhr an der Neustädter Havelbucht in Potsdam ankommt.

Der Braunkohleabbau in der Lausitz verschmutzt die Spree mit Eisenschlamm und Sulfat, bedroht immer noch Dörfer mit der Abbaggerung (aktuell Proschim und Mühlrose) und heizt mit seinen riesigen CO₂-
Emissionen das Klima auf.
Allein das Brandenburger Kraftwerk Jänschwalde stößt jährlich mehr als 23 Millionen Tonnen CO₂ aus und ist damit der viertgrößte Klimazerstörer in Europa.

Die “Coal & Boat” Demo führte in den letzten drei Jahren zu Berliner Kohlekraftwerken. Dieses Jahr findet sie im Vorfeld der Brandenburger
Landtagswahlen in Potsdam statt, um ein deutliches Zeichen für einen schnellen Kohleausstieg bis spätestens 2030 zu setzen.

Dear friends,

come and join the “COAL & BOAT “ demonstration in POTSDAM at AUGUST 18th 2019!
On that day, from 1 pm to 4.30 pm, we will paddle on the water; cycle and walk on the land for the quick fossil-fuel phase-out in Brandenburg!

The lignite mining in the region of Lausitz contaminates the river Spree with iron sludge and sulphate, still threats villages with demolition (currently Proschim and Mühlrose) and heats up the climate with its huge CO₂ emissions. The power plant Jänschwalde in Brandenburg alone emits more than 23 million tons of CO₂ annually, being the forth largest climate destroyer in Europe.

Thus, we demand: END COAL– SAVE WATER, VILLAGES AND CLIMATE!

The demonstrations, each on water and on land, will start at 1 pm at the Neustädter Havelbucht. The exact meeting point for the demonstration on water is located south from Café Seerose (Breite Str.24) directly at the riverside, and for the demonstration on land at
Pumpenhaus/"Moschee" (Breite Str. 28). We'll be starting off with a special protest event there.
The closing rally will take place in the “Alte Fahrt” (arm of the river Havel near Potsdam Hbf) by 3.30 pm. You can join the rally on water or at the shore.

(raft, kayak, SUP)!

>From Berlin you could join our demonstration by bike to go to Potsdam. We start at 9 am at Kraftwerk Moabit (Föhrer Brücke), stop at 12 am at
