Jazz at the Bunker: Shey Rah
The German-Persian singer, songwriter and composer takes the audience on a journey of atmospheric music that goes straight to the heart. With soulful vocal lines and carefully crafted songs, Shey Rah shares her stories about the highs and lows of love, friendship, and self reflection. Inspired by artists like Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Robert Glasper, she combines her passion for ecstatic hiphop grooves and soul music with elements of jazz. Shey Rah is being accompanied by a number of great musicians that share her love for music and that she met during her jazz studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.

+ Special Guest
This is going to be the first time Līva Dumpe is sharing her music in a solo set in Amsterdam. Long cherished love for piano and freshly started passion for vocoder will accompany her voice on all of its adventures. You might be hearing influences from Latvian folk songs and later classical composers, as well as sounds derived from jazz, soul and experimental music.
Soulful after-party vibes are supplied by our DJ Freddy Kuno from Hamburg who will be completing the evening with a melange of jazzy-funky and organic-electronic soul and hiphop.
