Reading circle David Harvey's "A brief history of Neoliberalism"

In what way is neoliberalism different from earlier stages of capitalism?

Come and join our reading group in which we close-read David Harvey's "brief history of Neoliberalism"  and explore where neoliberalization came from and how it proliferated on the world stage.

David Harvey's book, written shortly before the  last financial crisis, gives an accessible overview of the economic developments in the last 40 years and provides a theoretical framework for the rising nationalism and  crisis response we have seen in the last couple of years.

You can still join the reading circle. The next meeting will be on the 30th of September at the klinker in which we will discuss chapter 2 and 3. There will be summaries of these chapters, all you need to do is read the introduction and chapter one.  You can find a free pdf version of the book online or you can order it at the collective book shop Fort van Sjakoo. The language of the reading circle will be English.
