Join us for a night of folk punk and merriment in the newly opened Exchange Basement. We are here to coax you out of your mid winter hibernation!

Mainstream party politics may have left us feeling deflated, but we have the folk-punk antidote - with an anarcho/riot grrl/antifa/radical cocktail of a lineup!

Sharp Knives - Anarcho Folk Punk from Lisbon.

We are super stoked to be hosting the fantastic Sharp Knives, all the way from Lisbon, Portugal as part of their first UK tour.

"Transposing our hopes, fears, doubts, frustrations, inconsistencies & dreams to words, screaming them out loud as self-empowerment, travelling and playing, we hope to create an affinity network of friends, while standing together against all forms of authority, coercion & oppression.

Efa Supertramp - Acoustic Folk-Punk GRRRL

A staple on the Bristol punk scene, we're excited as ever to see Efa play. Back from her German tour, Efa is joining Sharp Knives on their journey around the UK.

"Efa Supertramp is a folk-punk grrrl armed with just an acoustic guitar and a powerful voice. Her songs are angry but uplifting, she hates money, power and greed, but loves living life as free as she can. By combining her anger at an unjust world, with solutions and hope for a better future; Efa combines elements of her influences paying tribute to those who fought for equality in previous generations – showing that protest music is far from dead"

Boom Boom Racoon - Scrappy, Acoustic, DIY Ska-Punk

That's us! Come down (literally down, it's in a basement) and see us play! This will be one of our only Bristol shows before we head out to Europe in March!

"Boom Boom Racoon are 80% politics and 30% nonsense, we enjoy singing about everything from biscuit heists to anti-fascism"

Manifiesta - Cumbia-Dub Balkan-Jungle fusion

A super addition to the line-up is Manifiesta! Known in past musical lives to have collaborated with BBR's Ivo in Will Tun And The Wasters, we are always excited to see Manifiesta and what fun and interesting musical delights they have in store.

"Manifiesta is a musician & producer that plays a Cumbia-Dub Balkan-Jungle fusion live on accordion with original beats to create a unique live show. Mixing Balkan and Klezmer melodies with Cumbia rhythms and UK-bass electronic production, Manifiesta's electic fusion sounds back up a radical message within diverse danceable sounds"

-----

The basement at the Exchange has a VERY limited capacity and so we will be selling tickets in advance for this show for those who wanna guarantee themselves entry. Ticket link coming very soon.

Oppressive behavior of any sort will not be tolerated and will lead to you being ejected from the venue.

Love, rage and solidarity. Always! x

Accessibility: We've realised that the venue is not accessible. There are stairs down to the room and no lift or ramp access. This is obviously not good. I'm afraid we can't change venues at this point. If anyone would like to get in touch with us ahead of the event to talk through any barriers the stairs might cause them and possible solutions we could put in place then we are very open to those conversations and will do anything we can to work around this issue.
