Critical Readings: 17 Contradictions & the End of Capitalism (2)

Short url:

In the latest installment of D-Zóna's Critical Readings book club, we are reading "Seventeen Contradictions and the End of Capitalism" by Marx scholar and urbanist David Harvey. In this book, Harvey discusses how the contradictions inherent in the modern form of capitalism inevitably lead to crises which will eventually become this system's undoing.

This meeting will discuss contradictions (chapters) 2-4, "The Social Value of Labour and Its Representation by Money", "Private Property and the Capitalist State", and "Private Appropriation and Common Wealth".

Is not strictly necessary to have read previous chapters to attend, though it is strongly recommended in order to participate fully in the discussion.
