Persons Unknown Festival

A celebration of alternative culture and creativity over 3 days of workshops, stalls and a wild line up of bands and performances.

PUF is a DIY, queer and community run festival. We’re about creating an inclusive space where people can feel comfortable to express themselves, share skills and knowledge, and have fun.

There is zero tolerance for discrimination, oppressive behavior, or sexual harassment at this event, consent must be gained before physical contact, and we respect all the ways in which people wish to be identified.

It is up to everyone in the space throughout the weekend to speak up if they see inappropriate behavior, and if you need help please speak to someone in welfare or at the front desk, and the situation will be sorted.

We look forward to welcoming you all for another amazing weekend!

Workshops

Workshops will be taking place from 12 to 5pm on Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th. PUF is about sharing knowledge, experience and skills, so we can learn and grow together as a community.

DIY HRT 101 & Myths Debunking by Dandelion DIY
Dandelion is a harm reduction information centre for trans people who are self-medicating with hormone therapy (also known as DIY HRT). We support people to get the changes they want as effectively and as safely as possible without a prescription or supervision from a doctor. Our workshop takes a realistic approach to minimise the risks of self-medication and use of "homebrewed" drugs, and provides a space for people to share their experiences with others who also DIY.

Lavender Dreams by Magpie Workshops
Using basic hand sewing and embroidery techniques, Leonie will take us through how to make lavender bags from recycled materials and chat about the history of lavender within queer culture.

Sex Workers need a Revolution, and the Revolution needs Sex Workers by Lola Rogue
An exploration of the radical politics of sex worker liberation.

Aerial Hoop by Peach
Come and try some aerial hoop!! Peach will be putting on a workshop open to all levels and abilities. This session will be catered to whoever is at the workshop and is really just about giving something a go and seeing how amazing your body can be!!!

Reclaim the Streets by Circo Circa and Unda What Section Sounds

Saturday 3 - 9 pm
(Would be 3 to 5 pm workshop in the building and 5 to 9 reclaiming the street)
Reclaim that the street is ours!
Join Circo Circa and Unda What Section Sounds in a workshop of clown gags, acrobatics and theatre plays before taking to the streets.
Inspired by "Reclaim Croydon", and from "Fool Power Residency" and "Activist Clown" workshops.

Guided Meditation by Liana Ni Ceilleachair
The Fungi Cailleach will take you on a journey to the majestical world of Fungi in this blend of Myth and Mycology, inviting you to bring anything you need to access rest and comfort and honour your self with relaxation through this guided meditation.
Liana takes inspiration from her time walking and channeling some of the most fantastical places; the worlds oldest continuously surviving rainforest, woodlands of New Zealand, jungles of India, gorges in France, and the woodlands, moorlands and coastlines of the UK and Ireland.
Liana has spent time with fungus you only see in fairytales and wishes to keep the ancient method of sharing wisdom through storytelling alive, so knowledge remains accessible to all.
