We are into the second week of the occupation at 47 Slaithwaite Road. We continue to call out Lewisham council - for their violent efforts to gentrify the borough - and we are calling out to our neighbours, to unite and fight back together against evictions and the privatisation of public space. 

We are strengthening links with other local collectives about harmonising our resistance. 

We know that the justice we seek will not be provided by the council, but will come from us, our neighbours, the houseless, those in insecure housing - all coming together to defend ourselves from the precarious situation that we are being forced into. We can resist evictions, we can open empty buildings - together we can build the world to meet our needs. 

This Friday we will hold an open assembly, inviting those who find themselves forced to fight back against evictions and gentrification - to share strategies and build plans together. Come down, see you here
