Climate Change & Cultural Resistance

An anarchist discussion about what can be done to curb climate change and it's driver- capitalism.

With the climate crisis looming, and the birth of movements such as the Extinction Rebellion, Freedom is hosting a discussion to talk about anarchist positions on tactics to bring climate change into our sights, while ensuring an intersectional and critical perspective that does not fail to recognise the parties responsible, and hold them to account.

Starting at 7pm, there will be refreshments and snacks, and the bookshop will remain open during the discussion.

Please feel free to bring your ideas to the table, this is an open discussion.

Each first Thursday of the month Freedom Bookshop will remain open late, much like the art galleries of East London. An event will be organised, be it a talk, art exhibition, gig, or otherwise (although we won't give out free alcohol like the galleries, go there first if you like!). People of all persuasions are welcome to come and participate. If you have an idea for an event that you would like to host at Freedom please get in touch at shop@freedompress.org.uk, we are always happy for people to come and get involved.
