Join Feminist Fightback and friends for a one off mid-winter fiction session. Taking our cue from current events in Gaza and the return of the occupation of Palestine to the forefront, we have decided to read a book relevant to the Palestinian struggle.

We will be reading Adania Shibli's 2020 book Minor Detail. A haunting meditation on war, violence and memory, Minor Detail cuts to the heart of the Palestinian experience of dispossession, life under occupation, and the persistent difficulty of piecing together a narrative in the face of ongoing erasure and disempowerment.

Minor Detail was awarded Times Books of the Year 2020 and was longlisted for the 2021 International Booker Prize.

These will take place in person at Golden Lane Community Centre, Golden Lane Estate, London EC1Y 0SA. The venue is fully accessible. Please arrive at 7.30 for 7.45 start; we will finish at 9.00pm. All genders welcome.
