Feminist Fightback Filmclub presents: Seahorse
For this months film screening we will be showing SEAHORSE (2019, 89 mins, Jeanie Finlay), a documentary film about a trans man called Freddy who decides to become pregnant and give birth.
The film shows Freddy talking about his transition, decision to become pregnant and traces his experience of pregnancy and labour while navigating the reactions of others: “Against a backdrop of increasing hostility towards trans people the world over, Freddy is forced to confront his own naivety, mine unknown depths of courage and lean on every friend and family member who will stand by him.”
