London Radical Spaces Picnic
Short url:
You are invited to the London Radical Spaces Picnic on 21st Aug 2pm onwards at Kennington Park. What are radical spaces? Anticapitalist spaces, anti-colonial spaces, anarchist spaces, queer spaces, spaces where people are fighting back against neoliberal London, gentrification and commercialistaion, spaces of equalitiy, freedom and creativity. London has some amazing long standing social centres (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-managed_social_centres_in_the_United_Kingdom#London), and there are also some new exciting spaces popping up around the city. We want to bring people together to get to know each other and find out about the radical spaces and struggles going on in London. There will be a picnic and some group activities and games. Bring food and drink to share. If you're coming on behalf of a space, bring a banner, poster or something to represent your space. Kennington Park is a 3 min walk from Oval tube, 5 mins from Kennington tube and it's also served by many bus lines. It has public all gendered and accessible loos as well as a cafe. Please get in touch if you have any accessibility needs or if you have any suggestions for spaces or groups to invite. Please spread the word, all are welcome!
