••»But what's a Tattoo Circus?«••
Tattoo Circus is a solidarity event focused on collecting funds to support prisoners, costs of lawsuits or anti-repressive/libertarian projects. This event, which was born a few years ago in Rome but quickly spread to several cities in Europe, aims to be a space for socializing and sharing ideas, not only being a mere tattoo convention, but also a moment of information about prisons, prisoners and ongoing legal proceedings. Although organized autonomously by each group in different cities, all Tattoo Circus end up having a common ethic:
••All the money raised will be fully donated to the anti-prison fight, either through support for fellow prisoners, trial costs or funding for anti-prison groups, etc., with each group deciding the destination of the money.
••The entire organization of Tattoo Circus is horizontal, making the event a collective process of building that moment;
••No one earns money for participating in a Tattoo Circus, appealing to the solidarity of whoever decides to be involved in the event.
We hope, then, that this Tattoo Circus will be a space for building bonds of companionship and solidarity among all who participate in it.
