GAF is reacting to the Covid-19 lockdown and enforced social distancing, by moving online. We will be doing a series of lifestreams about a variety of subjects that we hope will provide food for constructive discussion.
Episode 8: A World Without Prisons
An introduction to prison abolition, following a legacy of Black feminist and queer analysis and struggle. Join us for a workshop to discuss the realities of the prison system in the UK and why prison abolition is a necessary part of anti-racist, feminist and queer justice. Together, we will work to envision a world with safe, resilient communities equipped with the tools to respond to harm and support survivors, without the use of punishment, surveillance and cages.
