***** IMPORTANT CHANGES *****

NEW APPOINTMENTS SYSTEM

We are moving to an appointments only system, rather than a drop-in, until further notice. This should greatly reduce the number of people in the small space at one time. To make an appointment please email ecap@lists.riseup.net at any time or ring 0131 557 6242 on Tuesdays 11 am – 12 noon (or between 12 – 4 pm on a Tuesday for an appointment the following week). PLEASE ONLY RING ON A TUESDAY BETWEEN 11am AND 4pm – WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS ANY MESSAGES LEFT OUTSIDE THESE TIMES. If you can’t get through please ring back if possible rather than leaving a message.

Please make appointments in this way if at all possible. If this is not feasible, e.g. you do not have credit on your phone, or do not have email access, you can visit ACE on a Tuesday between 11 am and 12 noon and we will give you an appointment.

Unless the appointment is within an hour we will ask people to come back at the time of the appointment. This will also apply to anyone who arrives without an appointment, we will give you an appointment, and unless the appointment is within an hour we will ask you to come back at the time of the appointment. Please note that as we cannot be sure how long it will take to give support to each person, the appointment times will be approximate.

If possible, while this situation lasts, we encourage people to ring or email for advice rather than attending in person.

We are a group standing in solidarity with all those being treated unfairly. Our website is here.

Every Tuesday between 12 and 3 pm we hold an advice and solidarity drop-in here at Ace. We welcome those experiencing problems including work related, dole, council services, housing, debt or poverty.

We are only volunteers, not professionals, but will share our knowledge as best we can and always try to campaign collectively against the unfairness in our society.

Check out the ECAP leaflet below.

Our drop-ins can get very busy so please come early and prepare for a bit of a wait! Free food is often available as well as information about what we have here at ACE including any events and campaigns we're involved in.

If you'd like to volunteer, or just hang out and provide a friendly ear to listen, please come along or get in touch.
