Chile, September 1973. The military coup led by general Augusto Pinochet overthrows the democratically elected Popular Unity government of Salvador Allende and starts massive repression, leaving behind thousands of dead and disappeared people.

Among them is a young American journalist journalist Charles Horman. Horman's father and wife arrive to Chile in an attempt to find him. However, they soon discover the embassy staff is not as helpful as expected…

Let's meet and watch Missing (1982), a movie directed by Costa-Gavras, adapted from the book The Execution of Charles Horman: An American Sacrifice (1978) by Thomas Hauser. We have previously screened Costa-Gavras' movie Adults in the room (2018).
