Eviction Talks / R94
We continue the analysis on evictions to understand what to learn from them. Berlin is preparing itself for a „Year of Decisions“. Several left spaces are being forced into imminent evictions to give way for the city of the rich. All projects have announced their intention to defend themselves against the ejection. But how, by which means and with what allies? How do we win the political and concrete struggle against the eviction of our projects? With the „eviction talks“ we want to look back into different international experiences of eviction and discuss: what went well, why did some approaches fail? What happens after?
This time by recounting the eviction of Katerschmiede in 2016 and the reoccupation of it.
